breed has blue eyes and varying colour and pattern. It is very large cat and
very soft fur. Most of people like this cat to keep for their interest. Ragdoll
coat is full white and silky. It is semi long hair muscular cat.

Ragdoll cat name is derived from tendency of individual from
original breeding stock to go limp and relaxed when picked up.
In 1975, a group for the ragdoll cat led by husband and wife
team, Denny and Laura Dayton. Aim of that group is to gaining mainstream
reorganization for the ragdoll. During the early 1960 ragdoll breed spread in
America and pair of ragdoll was exported to UK, where it is recognized by the
government council.

Temperament:
All characteristics of ragdoll breed cat have been passed
down from Persian and birman breed. But ragdoll cat has the characteristics of
docile, calm and floppy. It is very intelligent cat and very active. The
extreme docility of some individuals has led to the myth that Ragdolls are pain
resistant. Some breeders in Britain have tried to breed away from the limpness
owing to concerns that extreme docility might not be in the best interests of
the cat.
Breed cat of ragdoll is very affectionate, relax and gentle
in temperament. Ragdoll cat is very easy to handle lap cat. Ragdoll cat known
as puppy cat and dog like cat.
Physical characteristic:
Ragdoll cat is very big cat and very cute cat that’s why
ragdoll cat is the largest domesticated cat breed. It has sturdy body, large
frame and proportionate legs. It has full grown weight 8 to 15 pounds or 3.6 to
6.8kg. Male has high weight than female cat 5.4 to 9.1 kg or more.
The genes for point coloration are responsible for the
distinctive blue eyes of the Ragdoll. More intense shades of blue are in cat
shows. Although the breed has a plush coat, it consists mainly of long hairs,
while the lack of a dense undercoat results, according to the Cat Fanciers'
Association, in reduced shedding and matting.
Ragdoll cat has six colours like seal, red, and chocolate,
dilute including blue, lilac and cream. Ragdoll cat has born white kitten and
so cute kitten. They have a good colour, full colour and coat 3 to 4 year.
Health:
The Ragdoll and Siamese have the lowest survival rate. They
live 15 to 25 years. This study indicates the Ragdoll may have a significantly
higher number of cats that die of urinary problems, mainly from kidney issues,
but also partly from lower urinary issues.
Inbreeding
Background inbreeding is severe, around 40%, owing to the
very limited number of foundation cats.
Hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy:
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is mostly found in every
cat breed it is a heart disease that is genetic in cause. These diseases due to
the thickness of wall of heart, that’s why the heart pumps less efficiently. A
DNA test was developed in 2007 to identify the gene that causes HCM in
Ragdolls. Breeding only from Ragdolls that are free from this gene.
